Help Us Show and Tell the Story of the Movement

The Heart of a Movement

Share a story, memory, photo, video, and/or reflection. You might recognize an advocate you admire, document a milestone in the movement, or share a moment that made you feel proud to be an advocate and proud of what we have accomplished together.

If you are a survivor, consider sharing a personal victory—a moment when you felt heard, supported, or empowered; an advocate who made a difference in your journey; or an experience that reminded you that you are not alone and demonstrated the strength that comes from standing together.

Story Prompts:

  • A moment that gave you hope: Share a moment in this movement when you thought, “We are making a difference.”

  • A victory that mattered: As a survivor or protective parent, was there a moment when you finally felt empowered? What did that moment mean to you?

  • Honor someone who made a difference: Tell us about an advocate, survivor, professional, legislator, friend, or fellow protective parent whose courage or kindness inspired you or helped you keep going.

  • A moment of collective impact: Share something you witnessed—big or small—that showed what can happen when people come together for children and families.

  • A proud advocacy moment: What is something you helped accomplish that you are especially proud of—a law, a policy change, helping another parent, raising awareness, speaking out, or simply refusing to give up?

  • A moment you’ll never forget: What is one uplifting, funny, moving, or powerful memory from your years in this movement that still stays with you?

  • Looking forward: What gives you hope about where this movement can go next, and what would you most like the next generation of advocates to carry forward?
