A GATHERING OF THE PROTECTIVE PARENT MOVEMENT
The Heart of a Movement
Honoring Our Pioneers • Celebrating Our Collective Voices • Carrying the Movement Forward
WHY WE ARE GATHERING
Our history is full of courage. Our future needs all of us.
Protective parents, adult children, advocates, professionals, and friends are coming together to honor the people who helped build this movement and celebrate the victories won along the way.
Connie Valentine, co-founder of the California Protective Parents Association, and Joan Meier, a Clinical Law Professor and leading scholar at GW Law School and a longtime advocate for family-court reform, will come together for a conversation about the movement’s history, what they have witnessed along the way, and how far we have come.
This gathering then celebrates the collective work of many people—and the hope, strength, and commitment we carry forward together.
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month
November is Family Court Awareness Month
